The Supreme Court of India regained control of its official YouTube account shortly after it was hijacked by cryptocurrency scammers selling fake XRP investments. On Sept. 20, the Supreme Court of India’s YouTube account was used to broadcast a livestream video about fake XRP (XRP) investments featuring Ripple Labs CEO Brad Garlinghouse.

The channel streams hearings of notable court cases but temporarily showed promotional videos of XRP and Ripple Labs before being taken down.

The Supreme Court's YouTube channel was hacked, displaying videos promoting a cryptocurrency by Ripple Labs. A live stream titled "Brad Garlinghouse: Ripple Responds To The SEC's $2 Billion Fine! XRP PRICE PREDICTION" is currently running.

A notice issued by Hargurvarinder Singh Jaggi, Registrar (Technology), said, "This is to inform all concerned that the YouTube channel of the Supreme Court of India has been taken down. The services on the YouTube channel of the Supreme Court of India will be resumed shortly.

The Supreme Court's official YouTube channel was hacked, displaying cryptocurrency-related content instead of live court proceedings. An investigation has been launched, and the channel has been disabled.
