Original story: Heavy snow across Colorado was causing delays, crashes and road closures Wednesday morning, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation. As of 7:45 a.m., Denver-bound U.S. 36 was closed near Boulder and eastbound Interstate 70 was closed near Lakewood, CDOT officials said.

CLEAR CREEK COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - I-70 was closed in the mountains of Colorado Tuesday night over safety concerns as heavy snow was falling. At about 9 p.m., the Colorado Department of Transportation announced the highway was closed between Exit 243, Hidden Valley, and Exit 251, Floyd Hill.
