The auto firm said that under the BaaS program, customers can now bring home the MG Comet EV at a starting price of of Rs 4.99 lakh + battery rental at Rs 2.5/km, and MG ZS EV starting at Rs 13.99 lakh + battery rental at Rs 4.

Even without unique Battery-as-a-Service (Baas) ownership program, MG Windsor EV's base price of Rs 13.5 lakh (Ex-sh) is still attractive.

JSW MG Motor India has extended its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program to the Comet EV and ZS EV models. This initiative allows customers to pay per kilometre for battery usage, making EV ownership more accessible.

The company, a joint venture between JSW Group and China’s SAIC Motor, extended the BaaS program to both the Comet Mini and the ZS EV. The move slashes the starting price by Rs 2 lakh for the Comet and Rs 4.
