Apple greeted customers at its stores around the world on Friday, for the debuts of the iPhone 16, Apple Watch Series 10 and AirPods 4.

Though the announcement was not made in the presentation, the company separately announced when iOS 18 would be available.

Apple's iPhone 16 Pro Max and Apple Watch Series 10 are larger devices — but they seem to come in smaller packages every year.

The Apple Watch Series 10 updates one of our favorite smartwatches (the Series 9 ). The latest model has a thinner design, making it more comfortable to wear for longer periods. The watch will also update once per second when you turn on Always On mode instead of once per minute like in previous models.

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 16 Monday. Although the new phone will probably get a few small upgrades on the outside, Apple is betting that significant changes to what’s on the inside will excite customers who haven’t been given a convincing reason to upgrade in years.

Apple has not officially announced the exact timing for today’s new software updates, but they typically follow a consistent process for each update. It looks like iOS 18 and watchOS 11 will likely be released at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET. In addition to these updates, Apple will release iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, and visionOS 2.

Those who ordered an iPhone 16 series phone, Apple Watch 10, or AirPods 4 as quickly as possible last week will begin receiving them today.
