Royals SS Bobby Witt Jr. and C Salvador Perez were both awarded with the Silver Slugger Award. This is Witt’s first time receiving the honor and Perez’s fifth. Perez is the ninth player to win at least five Louisville Silver Slugger Awards as a catcher, putting him among a prestigious group.

Witt Jr. had another 30 home run-30 stolen base season, and was the American League batting leader with a .332 batting average.
