Fargo police responded to an officer-involved shooting Wednesday in the area of 6100 block of 61st Ave. S. The incident happened around 10:50 a.m. Preliminary information indicates officers were called to a medical assist for a suicidal person inside a residence.

WEST FARGO (KFGO) – West Fargo Police are investigating a shooting that happened at a home near Elmwood Park Tuesday night. Officers were called to the 700 block of 12th Avenue W. around 7:45 p.m. after a caller reported a gunshot.

Chief Dave Zibolski said his officers were engaged in dialogue with a suicidal man when he came out of a home holding a gun. Multiple officers fired their weapons.
