Despite missing practice time with a shoulder injury during Auburn football's bye week, quarterback Payton Thorne said Tuesday that he should be "good to go" for the Tigers' game against Louisiana-Monroe this weekend.

Struggling Auburn Tigers quarterback Payton Thorne is battling a sore shoulder, and Hugh Freeze may pounce on the opportunity to make a change.

The quarterback position has been a point of concern throughout the season for the Auburn Tigers. With that, head coach Hugh Freeze evaluated starter Payton Thorne and the state of the entire quarterback room coming out of the bye week.

"He thinks he’s going to be fine, but he was not ready to play yesterday, for sure," Hugh Freeze said of Thorne on Wednesday.
